Description
It was a Canadian Newspaper Story (Daily Colonist) about a gorilla capture near Yale, British Columbia on July 4, 1884. The original newspaper article described “Jacco” as a gorilla, not a sasquatch. The “Jacko” story has been used by Bigfoot proponents as proof of the Sasquatch’s existence. Many books about Bigfoot and cryptids have advertised this event and referenced the original newspaper article. In 2008, Michael Cremo discussed this story as possible evidence for the existence of sasquatches.
